The closed back panel for the 8000 series industrial closed shelving unit includes two half panels made of 24-gauge steel designed to stabilize the back of the shelving and prevent lateral sway. These panels overlap to cover the entire back of the shelving and can be adjusted to fit shorter units. Each panel features three vertical rows of holes spaced on 1-1/2-inch centers to allow easy bolting to a T-post upright. The panel comes with a durable powder coat finish in Dove Gray to protect against everyday use. The kit includes all necessary nuts and bolts for attachment, and the panel ships unassembled for field installation. It attaches to the 8000 T-posts via keyhole slots and is intended for use with side braces or closed upright assemblies to ensure maximum stability. Proper anchoring of the shelving is strongly recommended using the upright-to-floor angle and a concrete wedge anchor to secure uprights to the floor, and uprights should be installed plumb and level before anchoring to prevent tipping.
