The Lyon back-to-back tie is designed to join two sections of 8000 series industrial steel shelving together, maintaining stability and proper spacing without interfering with storage space. Manufactured from heavy-duty steel, this tie fits both open and closed shelving sections featuring 8000 series T-post uprights. The package includes the back-to-back tie along with two nuts and bolts that mount directly to the T-post uprights via keyhole slots. Lyon recommends using two ties on each end upright post and on every other upright post in between for optimal stability. While the tie enhances support, shelving should also be anchored to the floor using properly rated concrete wedge anchors after ensuring the shelving is plumb and level.
