The 8000 Series closed back panel includes all parts necessary for stabilizing the back of an 8000 Series industrial closed shelving unit, featuring two half panels made of 24-gauge steel that help prevent lateral sway by overlapping to cover the entire back of the shelving. These panels can be further overlapped to fit shorter shelving units and include three vertical rows of holes spaced on 1-1/2-inch centers for easy bolting to a T-Post upright. The panels have a durable powder coat finish available in dove gray, which protects the steel shelving from everyday use. The back panel ships unassembled and installs easily in the field by attaching to the back of 8000 T-Posts using keyhole slots, with all necessary nuts and bolts included. For maximum stability, it is recommended to include side braces or closed upright assemblies during shelf installation, properly anchor the shelving by installing uprights plumb and level before anchoring to the floor and/or wall using an upright-to-floor angle and concrete wedge anchors.
