3M™ Controltac™ film technology features posts that allow the traction material to be repositioned on the surface before final adhesion, saving time and reducing rework. The 3M™ Comply™ adhesive technology incorporates air release channels in the liner to provide a bubble-free application, ensuring smooth adhesion to the surface. This channel pattern is also replicated onto the Safety-Walk™ adhesive, allowing air to be released to the edge of the traction material when pressure is applied. The 3M™ Safety-Walk™ slip resistant tapes and treads series 300 have been certified by the National Floor Safety Institute (NFSI) as providing "high-traction," with a wet static coefficient of friction (SCOF) greater than 0.60, a threshold chosen by NFSI because surfaces maintaining this level of slip resistance when wet have been shown to reduce slip-and-fall claims by 50% to 90%. The product is suitable for applications including locker rooms, around hot tubs and pool areas, boats and docks, personal watercraft, water skis, recreational and athletic equipment, interior stairwells, entryways, lobbies, and conveyors. It features a non-mineral, medium textured, slip-resistant vinyl surface that provides barefoot comfort while handling light shoe traffic, combining a soft textured, medium resilient surface with a durable pressure-sensitive adhesive for long-lasting performance.
