The 1-1/4" wide heavy-duty open-type seals are designed for use with steel strapping and come in a package of 500 seals per case. All steel strapping seals are made from precision tested galvanized steel and are engineered for high joint efficiency with both regular duty and heavy duty steel strapping. These seals meet federal government standards as well as ASTM standard D3953. The open seals, also known as OST type, are the most common seals for regular-duty applications and allow placement of the seal after the tensioning process has occurred. They are sometimes referred to as snap-on seals.
