The Ridgid® model no. 1224 threading machine is designed for threading NPT pipe and operates at 120V, 60 Hz, with threading capacities of 1/4"-2" at 36 RPM and 2 1/2"-4" at 12 RPM. This versatile machine threads a variety of materials including black, galvanized, and plastic-coated pipe, as well as stainless steel, IMC, and heavy-wall conduit, with the capability to thread rod up to 30 Rockwell C hardness. It is equipped with an induction motor that maintains sound levels within regulatory limits and features a special capacitor-start/capacitor-run motor to handle voltage drops effectively. The machine includes a 1/4"-2" universal die head and a 2 1/2"-4" receding die head, enabling the cutting of tapered or straight NPT/NPSM or BSPT/BSPP threads. It ensures constant lubrication of dies and workpieces through a through-head oiling system and is CSA approved. The kit comes complete with a foot switch, one no. 714 (914) 2 1/2"-4" receding self-opening die head, one no. 711 (911) 1/4"-2" universal self-opening die head, one set of 1/2"-3/4" universal alloy dies, one set of 1"-2" universal alloy dies, one set of 2 1/2"-4" 1224 high-speed dies, one no. 764 cutter, one no. 744 reamer, one spare F-229 cutter wheel, one gallon of Nu-Clear oil, three hex keys, and one 3/4" combination wrench.
