The Ridgid Model No. 690 Power Drive is a lightweight and powerful hand-held power drive designed for threading 1/8" to 2" pipe using 11-R die heads. This kit includes a full set of 11-R die heads (1/2", 3/4", 1", 1 1/4", 1 1/2", and 2"), a 691 support arm, and a durable carrying case. The power drive has a capacity of 1/8" to 2" (3 - 51 mm) pipe and weighs 19 lbs. (8.6 kg) with a length of 24 in. (61 cm). It features a universal motor rated at 1020 watts, compatible with 230 or 115 volts at 50/60 Hz, and is approved by CSA to CSA and UL standards (115V only). The device includes a heavy-duty paddle switch with a safety lock-off device, a separate forward/release switch, and a spur gear reduction/face gear drive. The construction includes shafts and bearings that are ball and needle bearing mounted, with a permanently lubricated gear housing made of die-cast aluminum and a body and handle composed of durable, heavy-duty, fiberglass-reinforced industrial plastic. The spindle speed is 32 RPM, and the die head adapter is designed for use with 1/8" to 1 1/4" die heads.
