This turnstile security system's full security turnstile is designed for permitting unsupervised exiting and entry, allowing for one or two-way passage. It features complete stainless steel construction, making it suitable for both interior and exterior applications. The unit consists of a rotor assembly, barrier section, mechanism housing, and ceiling plate. All materials meet ASTM standards set forth by the materials industry. The rotor assembly includes a 3" diameter, 1/4" thick tube with arms that are 1" round, 11 ga. stainless steel tubing, Type 304. Each arm is rounded and spun closed, with ground and polished ends, and is mechanically fitted over a solid 1 3/8" x 6" spigot, with no welds used in the construction. The shield assembly is built with three horizontal stainless steel channels of 5/16" thickness and nine vertical 1" stainless steel tubes. The barrier post is made from 3" square, 11 ga. stainless steel tubing, with stainless steel 1" 11 ga. barrier arms, also mechanically fitted over 1 3/8" solid spigots. A heavy-duty top bearing enables ease of rotation and supports a maximum vertical load of 1500 lbs. The mechanism plate consists of a 3/8" thick steel plate, to which all mechanical components are attached. The ceiling plate is fabricated from 5/16" ga. steel, connecting to the mechanism housing plate and spanning the shield assembly for added stability and support. The mechanism features a 1" thick Delrin cam that requires no lubrication, alongside a 1" thick ratchet and indexing plate hardened to 56 Rockwell for enhanced durability.
