This turnstile security system features a full security turnstile designed for unsupervised entry and exit, allowing for one or two-way passage. It is constructed entirely from stainless steel, making it suitable for both interior and exterior applications. The system includes a rotor assembly, barrier section, mechanism housing, and a ceiling plate. All materials comply with ASTM standards as established by the materials industry. The rotor assembly is built with a 3" diameter, 1/4" thick tube and features arms made of 1-1/2" round, 11 ga. stainless steel tubing, Type 304, with rounded, spun closed, ground, and polished ends. The arms are mechanically fitted over solid 1 3/8" x 6" spigots with no welds. The shield assembly consists of three horizontal stainless steel channels, 5/16" thick, complemented by nine vertical 1-1/4" stainless steel tubes. The barrier post is made from 3" square, 11 ga. stainless steel tubing, with barrier arms also of 1-1/2" 11 ga. stainless steel, securely fitted over 1-3/8" solid spigots. A heavy-duty top bearing is included for smooth operation, capable of supporting a maximum vertical load of 1500 lbs. The mechanism plate is manufactured from a 3/8" thick steel plate, onto which all mechanical components are affixed. The ceiling plate, made from 5/16" ga. steel, attaches to the mechanism housing plate, providing stability and support over the shield assembly. The mechanism features a 1" thick Delrin cam that requires no lubrication, along with a hardened 1" thick ratchet and indexing plate rated at 56 Rockwell for durability.
