This turnstile security system's full security turnstile is designed for unsupervised entry and exit, facilitating one or two-way passage. Constructed entirely of stainless steel, it is suitable for both interior and exterior applications. The kit includes a rotor assembly, barrier section, mechanism housing, and ceiling plate, with all materials meeting ASTM standards. The rotor assembly features a 3" diameter, 1/4" thick tube with arms constructed from 1" round 11 ga. type 304 stainless steel tubing, which have rounded and spun closed ends that are ground and polished. The arms are mechanically fitted over a solid 1 3/8" x 6" spigot, with no welds involved. The shield assembly comprises three horizontal stainless steel channels, each 5/16" thick, and nine vertical 1" stainless steel tubes. The barrier post is made from 3" square 11 ga. stainless steel tubing, with the barrier arms also fashioned from 1" 11 ga. stainless steel, mechanically fitted over 1 3/8" solid spigots. A heavy-duty top bearing allows for easy rotation, supporting a maximum vertical load of 1500 lbs. The mechanism plate is built from a 3/8" steel plate, onto which all mechanical components are attached. The ceiling plate, made from 5/16" ga. steel, connects to the mechanism housing plate and spans the shield assembly for enhanced stability and support. The mechanism includes a 1" thick Delrin cam that requires no lubrication, as well as a 1" thick ratchet and indexing plate, hardened to 56 Rockwell for extended durability.
