This turnstile security system's full security turnstile is designed for unsupervised entry and exit, allowing one or two-way passage. It features complete stainless steel construction, making it suitable for both interior and exterior applications. The system includes a rotor assembly, barrier section, mechanism housing, and ceiling plate, all of which comply with ASTM standards. The rotor assembly consists of a 3" diameter, 1/4" thick tube with arms that are mechanically fitted over a solid 1-3/8" x 6" spigot without any welds. Each arm is made of 1-1/2" round, 11-gauge stainless steel tubing, Type 304, and has a rounded, spun closed, ground, and polished end. The shield assembly is constructed from three horizontal stainless steel channels that are 5/16" thick and nine vertical 1-1/4" stainless steel tubes. The barrier post is made from 3" square, 11-gauge stainless steel tubing with 1-1/2" 11-gauge barrier arms. A heavy-duty top bearing allows for ease of rotation and supports a maximum vertical load of 1500 lbs. The mechanism plate is made from a 3/8" steel plate, to which all mechanical components are attached. The ceiling plate, fabricated from 5/16" ga. steel, connects to the mechanism housing plate and spans the shield assembly for added stability and support. Additionally, the mechanism features a 1" thick Delrin cam requiring no lubrication, and a 1" thick ratchet and indexing plate hardened to 56 Rockwell for long-lasting durability.
