This turnstile security system's full security turnstile is designed for permitting unsupervised exiting and entry, allowing for one or two-way passage. Constructed entirely from stainless steel, it is suitable for both interior and exterior applications. The unit includes a rotor assembly, barrier section, mechanism housing, and ceiling plate, with all materials meeting ASTM standards. The rotor assembly features a 3" diameter 1/4" thick tube with attached arms made from 1" round 11 ga. stainless steel tubing (Type 304), each arm having a rounded, spun closed, ground, and polished end, mechanically fitted over a solid 1 3/8"x6" spigot without welds. The shield assembly is made from three horizontal stainless steel channels (5/16" thick) and nine vertical 1" stainless steel tubes. The barrier post is composed of 3" square 11 ga. stainless steel tubing with 1" 11 ga. stainless steel barrier arms, also mechanically fitted over 1 3/8" solid spigots. A heavy-duty top bearing supports ease of rotation and a maximum vertical load of 1500 lbs. The mechanism plate is fashioned from a 3/8" steel plate, onto which all mechanical components are attached. The ceiling plate, made of 5/16" ga. steel, connects to the mechanism housing plate and spans the shield assembly to provide stability and support. The mechanism includes a 1" thick Delrin cam that requires no lubrication, along with a 1" thick ratchet and indexing plate, hardened to 56 Rockwell for long-lasting durability.
