This turnstile security system's full security turnstile is designed to permit unsupervised exiting and entry, allowing for one or two-way passage. Constructed entirely from stainless steel, the unit is suitable for both interior and exterior applications. It includes a rotor assembly, barrier section, mechanism housing, and ceiling plate, with all materials meeting ASTM standards. The rotor assembly features a 3" diameter, 1/4" thick tube with arms made from 1" round, 11 ga. stainless steel tubing, Type 304. Each arm is rounded, spun closed, ground, and polished, mechanically fitted over a solid 1 3/8" x 6" spigot, with no welds present. The shield assembly consists of three horizontal stainless steel channels measuring 5/16" thick, complemented by nine vertical 1" stainless steel tubes. The barrier post is made from 3" square, 11 ga. stainless steel tubing, and the barrier arms are constructed from 1" 11 ga. stainless steel, also mechanically fitted over 1 3/8" solid spigots. A heavy-duty top bearing ensures ease of rotation and can support a maximum vertical load of 1500 lbs. The mechanism plate is constructed from a 3/8" steel plate, with all mechanical components attached to it. The ceiling plate is fabricated from 5/16" ga. steel, connecting with the mechanism housing plate and spanning the shield assembly for enhanced stability and support. The mechanism itself includes a 1" thick Delrin cam that requires no lubrication, along with a 1" thick ratchet and indexing plate, hardened to 56 Rockwell for long-lasting durability.
