This turnstile security system's full security turnstile is designed to permit unsupervised exiting and entry, allowing for one or two-way passage. It features complete stainless steel construction that is suitable for both interior and exterior applications, comprising a rotor assembly, barrier section, mechanism housing, and ceiling plate. All materials comply with ASTM standards set forth by the materials industry. The rotor assembly includes a 3" diameter 1/4" thick tube with arms, where each arm is made from 1" round 11 GA stainless steel tubing, Type 304, with rounded and spun closed, ground, and polished ends that are mechanically fitted over solid 1 3/8" x 6" spigots, eliminating any welds. The shield assembly incorporates three horizontal stainless steel channels of 5/16" thickness and nine vertical 1" stainless steel tubes. The barrier post consists of 3" square 11 GA stainless steel tubing equipped with 1" 11 GA stainless steel barrier arms, also mechanically fitted over 1 3/8" solid spigots. A heavy-duty top bearing facilitates rotation and supports a maximum vertical load of 1500 lbs. The mechanism plate is made from a 3/8" steel plate, with all mechanical components attached to it, while the ceiling plate, fabricated from 5/16" GA steel, connects to the mechanism housing plate and spans the shield assembly for added stability and support. The mechanism features a 1" thick Delrin cam that requires no lubrication, alongside a 1" thick ratchet and indexing plate, hardened to 56 Rockwell for enhanced durability.
