The JET® GH-1340 geared head engine lathe features precision induction hardened ground bed-ways, spindle roller bearings, and high-quality steel hardened gears in the headstock for exceptional durability. It includes a 2" spindle bore, enclosed gearbox design, a standard coolant system, and a lead screw cover to ensure smooth, quiet operation while maintaining peak performance. The lathe is equipped with an emergency stop easily accessible to the operator and a patented electronic chuck key docking station that prevents startup without the chuck key when securely docked. It carries standard UL 987 certification and comes with a 6" 3 jaw chuck mounted on the lathe and an 8" 4 jaw chuck included in the package.
