The new JET GH-1340 geared head engine lathe features precision induction hardened ground bed-ways, spindle roller bearings, and high-quality steel hardened gears in the headstock for enhanced durability. It includes a segment-leading 2" spindle bore, an enclosed gearbox design, a standard coolant system, and a lead screw cover for smooth and quiet operation while maintaining peak performance. The lathe is equipped with an emergency stop within easy reach of the operator and a patented electronic chuck key docking station that prevents startup without the chuck key when safely docked. The package includes a 6" 3-jaw chuck mounted on the lathe and an 8" 4-jaw chuck. The GH-1340 comes with standard UL 987 certification and is backed by the industry-leading JET 2-year warranty.
