The JET® GH-1340 geared head engine lathe features precision induction hardened ground bed-ways, spindle roller bearings, and high-quality steel hardened gears in the headstock for enhanced durability. It has a 2" spindle bore, enclosed gearbox design, standard coolant system, and lead screw cover for smooth and quiet operation while maintaining peak performance. The lathe includes an emergency stop within easy reach and a patented electronic chuck key docking station that prevents startup without the chuck key when docked. The package includes a 6" 3 jaw chuck mounted on the lathe and an additional 8" 4 jaw chuck. Certified to UL 987 standards, this lathe is built for everyday use in workshops or repair centers and is backed by a 2 year warranty.
