The JET® GH-1440-3 geared head engine lathe features precision induction hardened ground bed-ways, spindle roller bearings, and high-quality steel hardened gears in the headstock for enhanced durability. It has a 2" spindle bore, an enclosed gearbox design, a standard coolant system, and a lead screw cover to ensure smooth, quiet operation and peak performance. The lathe includes an emergency stop within easy reach of the operator and a patented electronic chuck key docking station that prevents startup if the chuck key is not safely docked. Certified to UL 987 standards, the lathe measures to industry specifications and is backed by a 2-year warranty from JET®.
