The JET® GH-1340 geared head engine lathe features precision induction hardened ground bed-ways, spindle roller bearings, and high-quality steel hardened gears in the headstock for enhanced durability. It has a 2" spindle bore, an enclosed gearbox design, a standard coolant system, and a lead screw cover, ensuring smooth and quiet operation with peak performance. The lathe includes an emergency stop within easy reach and a patented electronic chuck key docking station that prevents startup without the chuck key when properly docked. The package includes a 6" 3-jaw chuck mounted on the lathe and an 8" 4-jaw chuck. This lathe carries standard UL 987 certification and comes with a 2-year warranty from JET®.
