The Jet® GH-1340 geared head engine lathe features precision induction hardened ground bed-ways, spindle roller bearings, and high-quality steel hardened gears in the headstock for durable performance. It has a 2" spindle bore, an enclosed gearbox design, a standard coolant system, and a lead screw cover for smooth and quiet operation. The lathe includes an emergency stop within easy reach and a patented electronic chuck key docking station that prevents startup without the chuck key when safely docked. It carries a UL 987 certification and comes with a 6" 3 jaw chuck mounted on the lathe and an 8" 4 jaw chuck included in the package. The product is backed by the Jet® 2 year warranty.
