The JET® GH-1340 geared head engine lathe features precision induction hardened ground bed-ways, spindle roller bearings, and high-quality steel hardened gears in the headstock for durability. It includes a 2" spindle bore, an enclosed gearbox design, a standard coolant system, and a lead screw cover to ensure smooth and quiet operation while maintaining peak performance. The lathe is equipped with an emergency stop within easy reach of the operator and a patented electronic chuck key docking station that prevents startup without the chuck key when safely docked. Standard UL 987 certification ensures safety compliance. The package includes a 6" 3-jaw chuck mounted on the lathe and an additional 8" 4-jaw chuck. The lathe is backed by the JET® 2-year warranty.
