Constructed using the certified Meehanite casting process for added durability, the JET® ZH-Series 4-1/2" large spindle bore lathes provide consistent, reliable, and precise operation. The lathe features a clutch operated headstock with all headstock gears hardened and ground for long-lasting performance, a fully integrated coolant system for efficient temperature control, and a rapid traverse on the apron, making it suitable for high-output production applications. The kit includes a 3 jaw scroll chuck with top reversing jaws, a steady rest and follow rest both equipped with roller bearings, and bed ways that are induction hardened and ground to enhance durability. The lathe is backed by the industry-leading JET® two-year warranty.
