The Jet® GH-1340 geared head engine lathe features precision induction hardened ground bed-ways, spindle roller bearings, and high-quality steel hardened gears in the headstock for enhanced durability. It boasts a 2" spindle bore, enclosed gearbox design, standard coolant system, and lead screw cover ensuring smooth and quiet operation with peak performance. Safety features include an emergency stop within easy reach and a patented electronic chuck key docking station that prevents startup without the chuck key safely docked. The lathe comes standard with UL 987 certification and includes a 6" 3 jaw chuck mounted on the lathe as well as an 8" 4 jaw chuck in the package.
