The new JET® GH-1340 Geared Head engine lathe features precision induction hardened ground bed-ways, spindle roller bearings, and high-quality steel hardened gears in the headstock to ensure ultimate working durability. It includes a segment-leading 2" spindle bore, an enclosed gearbox design, a standard coolant system, and a lead screw cover which contribute to smooth and quiet operation while maintaining peak performance. Safety features include an emergency stop within easy reach of the operator and a patented electronic chuck key docking station that prevents startup without the chuck key when safely docked. The lathe is UL 987 certified and comes equipped with a 6" 3 Jaw chuck mounted on the lathe as well as an 8" 4 Jaw chuck included in the package. This lathe is supported by the industry-leading JET® 2-year warranty.
