The rugged and reliable 2 gal (7.6 L) Eagle® green Type I steel safety can for combustibles (model UI20FSG) weighs 5.25 lbs (2.4 kg) when empty and approximately 23 lbs (10 kg) when full, featuring a pour or fill hole with an inner diameter of 1.65 in (4.19 cm) and an attached funnel to prevent spills and splashes when pouring into smaller tanks. Measuring 9.5 inches (24.1 cm) high with an outer diameter of 11.25 inches (28.6 cm), it is designed for easy storage in an Eagle® safety cabinet and is ideal for gas/oil mixtures for 2-stroke engines. Eagle® Type I safety cans prevent fires and explosions by controlling flammable vapors with heavy-duty Type I construction, are 100% American-made, and provide a safe method to carry, pour, and store flammable liquids. These cans comply with CARB, meet OSHA and NFPA code 30 requirements, are UL and ULC-listed, and FM-approved for safe storage and handling of flammable liquids. Constructed from 24-gauge, hot-dip galvanized steel using a unique deep-drawn process that leaves no top or side seams to eliminate leaks and gas odor escape, the cans include a self-closing, leak-tested lid, a double interlock, no-weld bottom seam to prevent spills if dropped or knocked over, and a nitrile gasket that automatically releases vapors between 3 and 5 psi to prevent rupture. Additionally, the non-sparking flame arrester absorbs and dissipates heat to prevent possible ignition or explosion, and the comfort grip with a trigger release handle allows smooth pouring without unnecessary strain.
