The rugged and reliable 5 gal (18.9 L) Eagle® Green Type I steel safety can for combustibles (model UI50FSG) weighs 7 lbs (3.2 kg) when empty and approximately 50 lbs (23 kg) when full, making it suitable for quick fueling tasks. The pour or fill hole has an inner diameter of 1.65 in (4.19 cm), and it includes an attached funnel to prevent spills and splashes when pouring into smaller tanks. The can measures 13.5 in (34.3 cm) in height with an outer diameter of 12.5 in (31.8 cm), making it easy to store in an Eagle® safety cabinet. It is ideal for gas/oil mixtures used in 2-stroke engines. These Eagle® Type I safety cans are designed to prevent fires and explosions by controlling flammable vapors, constructed of 24-gauge hot-dip galvanized steel using a unique deep-drawn process with no top or side seams to eliminate leaks and prevent gas odor escape. The can features a self-closing, leak-tested lid, a double interlock no-weld bottom seam to safeguard against spills if dropped or knocked over, and a nitrile gasket that automatically releases vapors between 3 and 5 psi internal pressure to prevent rupture. Additionally, a non-sparking flame arrester absorbs and dissipates heat to prevent ignition or explosion. The comfort grip and trigger release handle enable smooth pouring with minimal wrist strain. The safety cans are 100 percent American-made, accepted under CARB, meet OSHA and NFPA Code 30 requirements, are UL and ULC-listed, and FM-approved for safe storage and handling of flammable liquids.
