The GK2000 floor mat ground kit provides the necessary hardware to ground an ESD floor mat in compliance with ANSI/ESD S-6.1 and ANSI/ESD-S20.20 standards. The kit includes the FM1515 molded low profile ground cord with a mushroom cap designed to eliminate trip hazards, and a CS1090 universal snap kit that ensures a secure connection to floor mats. Installation involves quickly and easily adding a 3/8" (10mm) snap into the mat using a screwdriver. The kit contains both a socket and stud snap as well as two screw lengths to accommodate thicker materials. The 15 ft ground cord attaches to the mat and connects to earth ground, typically the center screw of an outlet, via a #10 ring terminal. Per ESD standards, one ground point is required per mat or for every 10 ft of ESD matting. The GK2000 meets or exceeds the requirements of ANSI ESD-S20.20 and ANSI/ESD S-6.1.
