The Forney® Frontline™ 25 smart battery charger, maintainer, and engine starter is a multi-mode charging system delivering up to 25 amps of charging current and 150 amps of engine-starting output, designed for demanding shop, farm, and fleet environments. It is compatible with a wide range of 6-volt and 12-volt batteries, including traditional lead-acid types such as STD wet, EFB, MF, CA, deep-cycle, AGM, and gel, as well as LiFePO₄ lithium chemistries. The charger automatically adjusts output based on battery condition for safe, efficient charging. It includes a boost mode providing short bursts of high current for weak or cold engine starts, force charge mode to begin charging batteries below normal detection voltage, and repair mode to address sulfation and acid stratification in eligible lead-acid batteries. An integrated 13.6V power supply mode offers a stable DC output for ECU memory support, accessory power, or bench diagnostics, while alternator test mode monitors system voltage to check charging system performance. The unit features a rugged IP20-rated steel housing, heavy-duty 10 AWG DC cables, and a 12 GA power cord resistant to oil, gas, grease, water, chemicals, and abrasion. It includes built-in protections against reverse polarity, overcharge, short circuit, spark, overheating, and open circuit.
