3M™ Industrial Sealing Tape IS1 provides an easy sealing method that creates a moisture barrier under panels or where rivets, screws, or nails are present in automotive, specialty vehicle, electronic, heating, ventilation, and cooling (HVAC), and wind energy applications. This conformable tape is engineered with a waterproof membrane and acrylic adhesive that helps protect interior environments from leakage at joints, including panels, floors, trim, and frames, by sealing around the fastener for a secure seal. The tape offers robust adhesion that sticks to most substrates such as anodized aluminum, galvanized metal, fiberglass, plywood, and more. It can be applied in temperatures as low as 0 °F (-18 °C) and operates in a temperature range of -40 °F to 240 °F (-40 °C to 116 °C). The 3M™ IS1 tape is highly conformable with a thin, flexible backing that fits in between panels and tight spaces, and comes with a liner to promote precise product placement.
