The Transforming Technologies CS1090 ESD Universal Snap Kit is designed for field-installation of a stud or socket on soft materials up to 0.375" thick. The kit includes a 10 mm stud, a 10 mm socket, a threaded backing washer, a conical nut, a long 0.375" screw, and a short 0.25" screw, both 6-32 flat head Phillips machine screws. Installation requires punching a hole through the mat with a Phillips screwdriver or knife, then securing the socket or stud with the appropriate screw based on material thickness (short screw for less than 0.100" thick, long screw for greater than 0.100" thick). The screw is inserted through the snap stud or socket, washer, and material, then fastened with the conical nut using a Phillips screwdriver. The kit provides one stud or socket and one matching screw for installation; the remaining components can be saved or discarded depending on application.
