The lid is made of fiber glass reinforced composite, which is temperature resistant and can withstand extreme cold temperatures down to -60°F and extreme heat up to 250°F constant, with intermittent use at over 300°F. This fiber glass reinforced composite offers increased strength, providing a high weight capacity for each individual container. The impermeable surface is resistant to most mild acids, detergents, cutting oils, and alkaline solutions. The standard fiber glass formulation is approved for UL 94 HB flammability rating.
