The starter pen meter, type ORP, operates within a range of -1000 to 1000 mV and measures temperature from 0.0 to 99.0 °C. It features a compact design for fast, convenient electrochemistry measurement and is housed in ABS material. The device includes a Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) with a secondary information line on select models, and it is powered by four 1.5V batteries, which are included in the package. The meter is equipped with easily replaceable electrodes and has an automatic shut-off feature to conserve battery life.
