The Amprobe® PM55A is a pocket-sized multimeter measuring only 3/8" thick and weighing less than 3 oz, offering full functionality including AC and DC voltage measurement up to 600 V, AC and DC current measurement up to 2000 A, resistance measurement up to 6 Megohm, capacitance up to 2000 F, frequency measurement to 30 kHz, diode test, and continuity testing with a beeper. It features Voltect, a built-in non-contact voltage detection for AC voltages, and Autotect, which automatically selects between AC and DC voltage or resistance measurement based on the test point connection. The meter is fully auto-ranging with nine different measurement functions and has an oversized digital display with large digits and unit icons. Safety is assured with ratings of CAT III 300 V, CAT II 600 V, and UL listing. The kit includes one H-PMA protective holster, one VC3A zippered carrying case, one set of test leads, one installed 3 V button battery (IEC-CR2032; ANSI-NEDA-5004LC), and one user's manual. The device also features automatic power off and a lower input impedance on the Autotect function to eliminate ghost voltages.
