The Fluke 28 II EX intrinsically safe true-rms digital multimeter is designed for use in Class 1, Div. 1 - Zone 1 and 2 (gas) areas and features a waterproof, dust-proof (IP67), and drop-proof design withstanding drops up to 3 meters (10 feet) when used with a holster. Suitable for petroleum, chemical, and pharmaceutical environments, this rugged, intrinsically safe (IS) DMM meets safety standards including USA Class I Zone 1 AEx ia IIC T4 and IEC 61010-1 Pollution Degree 2, IEC 61010-2-033 Measurement CAT III 1000 V / CAT IV 600 V. It offers 4-1/2 digit high-resolution mode with 20,000 counts for precise measurements, true-RMS AC voltage and current measurement up to 1000 V and 10 A AC/DC (with reduced range in Ex zones), and a low pass filter for accurate voltage and frequency readings on variable speed motor drives (VSDs). Additional features include frequency measurement up to 200 kHz and percent duty cycle for diagnostic purposes.
