The kit includes a 7" (18 cm) long cable with a 17XX connector and a BNC connector designed for current clamps with a maximum output of 1 V, featuring a scale factor set in the instrument as mV/A for 17XX instruments. It allows current measurement using iron-cored current transformers and enables DC current measurements powered by DC power within the instrument. The cable has a female BNC connector and internal conductor protection, along with a label indicating the adapter type. It is compatible with current clamps from Fluke® and other manufacturers, preserving previous investments and allowing the use of specialty current clamps. The adapter is rated CAT IV 600 V and CAT III 1000 V according to IEC61010-2-30 Appendix 2, enabling connection to a wider range of current clamps, including DC current measurement for 177X products.
