The exterior finish is chrome-plated, and the interior finish is chrome-plated with a clear coat or painted finish where needed for full coverage. The 6-point socket opening provides an exact fit and maximum contact for hex fasteners, with radiused corners to prevent fastener round-off by applying force to the fastener's flat sides rather than its corners. Secure drive tool engagement is ensured by detent grooves and beveled edges, providing a smooth and secure connection.
