The tool features knife-to-knife cutting jaws machined to an 82-degree angle, ensuring they are both strong and sharp to produce smooth, clean cuts with minimal effort. The blades, comprised of two opposing edges meeting in the center, deliver a highly reliable cutting method suitable for harder wires. They are finely beveled and induction-hardened to 58-64 HRC, allowing for refined semi-flush cuts. The diagonal offset of the blades relative to the handles provides an ergonomic hand and wrist position and finger clearance when working near surfaces. The wide profile, flat handles have an extra-wide, gently rounded shape that creates a large, smooth contact surface, distributing pressure comfortably for firm squeezing. Slim, single-layer vinyl grips offer a smooth, nonslip surface that is easy to clean. The tool cuts copper, aluminum, and soft steel wire in solid, stranded, and braided forms, covering wire sizes from 28 to 4 AWG, with a cutting capacity for copper wire up to 4 AWG.
