The semi-flush cut pliers feature blades with a fine, shallow bevel at the face to produce a refined semi-flush cut suited for precision work, with cutting edges induction-hardened to 60 - 63 HRC for performance and long life, capable of cleanly snipping soft metal wires such as copper, aluminum, brass, and silver in sizes 14 - 38 AWG, as well as neatly trimming plastic parts and ties. The cutting face is offset 15 degrees from the handle to allow finger clearance. The recessed long-arm coil spring assists the opening action and is neatly tucked between handles to avoid interference or accidental dislodging; it has a relaxed opening angle of 137 degrees, nearly twice that of the pliers, ensuring proper tension when fully opened, and the double coil balances opening and closing forces to improve control and reduce hand fatigue. The wide profile handles are generous in size with a wide, flat profile providing a large contact area for comfortable fingertip rest and precise control, complemented by slim vinyl grips that offer cushioning and a nonslip surface without bulk. The pliers are made from a custom-engineered high carbon steel alloy formulated to balance machinability and toughness in its final hardened state of 44 - 48 HRC, enabling precise machining of tips and edges, strong teeth, high hardenability on cutting blades, and minimized flexing under stress. The main faces of the head and upper handle have a classic finish achieved by a fine 320 grit polishing process and are protected by an ultra-thin layer of dry-to-touch oil that can be maintained and recoated throughout the product’s life.
