The kit includes a True-RMS industrial logging digital multimeter with TrendCapture, featuring True-RMS AC voltage and current measurement for accurate readings on complex signals or non-linear loads. It is compatible with Fluke® Connect through the IR 3000 FC infrared connector, which is a wireless module enabling communication with iOS (4S and later) and Android (v4.3 and up) devices via the Fluke® Connect mobile app. TrendCapture provides quick, graphical display of logged data sessions with zoom capability up to 14x for detailed analysis. The multimeter offers a selectable AC filter (smoothing mode) for steadier readings on rapidly or noisily changing signals, adjustable recording and auto hold thresholds to specify a percentage change in readings that triggers a new event, and a large white 50,000-count backlit 1/4 VGA dot matrix display. Its logging function includes expanded memory to store up to 15,000 recorded events and save multiple sessions before PC download is necessary. Additional features include a two-terminal 50 ohm range with 1 milliohm resolution and 10 mA source current for measuring and comparing motor winding or contact resistance, a low pass filter for accurate voltage and frequency measurement on adjustable speed motor drives and noisy equipment, and LoZ low impedance measurement for simultaneous voltage and continuity testing. The device includes on-board help screens, a real-time clock for automatic timestamping, relative mode to remove test lead resistance from low ohms or capacitance measurements, and can measure up to 10 A continuously (20 A for 30 seconds), with a 100 mF capacitance range and peak capture for recording transients as fast as 250 µs.
