The T-handle hex key kit features a side drive in addition to the ball-end long arm, with a flat-end side drive ideal for breaking loose fasteners. The comfortable, versatile handle has a large, contoured shape designed to fit the hand and facilitate spinning the tool and applying torque from various positions. The keys provide a tight fit with fasteners due to precise manufacturing of the hex key geometry on the large end of the applicable range, resulting in less slop. Two measures of tolerance control are used—measuring tolerances from point-to-point and side-to-side—to ensure high dimensional accuracy and consistency. The 20° ball angle increases access to fasteners while maintaining strength. The keys have refined edges, with slightly chamfered edges except on smaller sizes (2 mm and 5/64 in.) and a smooth top face for optimized engagement. The T-handle keys are made from steel with a molded handle to make applying torque easier and more comfortable. They are coated with a durable manganese phosphate finish resistant to corrosion, tested by wiping with isopropyl alcohol and submerging in a 1% saltwater solution for 45 hours before rinsing and air drying. Clear markings are provided on all but the smallest sizes via high-visibility laser marking, stamped marking, and painted inset marking that cannot wear off.
