The GFL-1500 solar ground fault locator is a frontline troubleshooting tool designed to help technicians quickly pinpoint active ground faults in solar photovoltaic (PV) systems. This three-piece troubleshooting system optimizes field technicians' workflow with integrated diagnostic functionality that includes analyze, fault tracing, open circuit, and mapping functions. It identifies and locates active ground faults anywhere within the DC system using an easy-to-follow traceable signal, while non-contact signal tracing reduces the time required to locate faults and decreases exposure to electrical hazards. Featuring FaultTrack technology, it detects active faults and generates a traceable signal through the fault path to identify the precise point of failure, enabling fault path tracing without repeated conductor disconnection or brute-force testing of individual strings. The transmitter and receiver are CAT III 1500VDC/CAT IV 600V rated, and the clamp is rated for use on insulated conductors up to 1500V. The 283 FC/PV solar digital multimeter and A283 FC wireless current clamp set measures both AC and DC current up to 60A for safe troubleshooting of individual strings or modules with greater accuracy. Their thin jaw design allows easy access to combiner boxes and tight spaces. The multimeter captures AC/DC volts, AC/DC millivolts, AC/DC volt-amperes, continuity, resistance, capacitance, AC/DC amps, and frequency in Hertz. It features a bright backlit LCD screen and illuminated keypad for use in direct or low-light conditions, visual and audio polarity indicators with on/off function to prevent wiring errors, and a user-defined limit gauge for quick go/no-go troubleshooting decisions. A unique multimeter readiness self-check ensures the meter is ready to test. Measurements can be saved and logged to internal memory and viewed on mobile devices via Fluke® Connect. The multimeter and clamp are CAT III 1500V/CAT IV 1000V rated to meet safety standards.
