The kit includes a 6-piece set of flat end hex keys in sizes 7/16, 1/2, 9/16, 5/8, 11/16, and 3/4 inches, made from 6150 chromium vanadium steel that is heat-treated to a hardness of 44-50 HRC to ensure tools that are hard but not brittle. The keys feature a corrosion-resistant manganese phosphate finish, tested by submersion in a 1% saltwater solution for 45 hours after wiping with isopropyl alcohol to remove oil, followed by rinsing and air drying. Each key is marked clearly with high-visibility laser and stamped markings. The hex keys are designed longer to provide high leverage and have two measures of tolerance control, from point-to-point and side-to-side, to maintain dimensional accuracy and consistency. They rest in quick-access L-key slots specifically sized for each key, allowing easy removal without resistance. The included 6-tool hex L-key rack is made from 12-gauge steel with a textured powder-coat finish and features handles on either side for easy lifting from a drawer, and comes with a label sheet.
