The long, tapered nose pliers offer extra reach into tight spaces, with the nose tapering from a wide base to a fine tip and the base of the jaws relieved with a small gap of 0.3 mm ± 0.1 mm to ensure the tips close tightly without interference. The fine crosscut teeth are oriented at 120 degrees to each other—60 degrees to each side of the jaw centerline—and are cut in two passes to form fine, regularly spaced, diamond-shaped teeth that provide uniform contact across the jaw surface, allowing you to grasp, pull, and twist evenly in any direction; these teeth extend along the full length of the jaw, not just the tip, maximizing the contact area. The integrated wire cutters in the second half of the design cleanly snip soft metal wires such as copper, aluminum, brass, and silver ranging from 38 to 14 AWG. A recessed coil spring is tucked neatly between the handles, gently assisting the opening action with a relaxed opening angle of 137 degrees—nearly double the pliers’ own opening angle—remaining properly tensioned when fully opened; coiled twice, it balances the force required to open and close the pliers, enhancing control and reducing hand fatigue.
