The TempcO finned strip heater is designed for both forced air heating when mounted in a duct and natural convection heating when installed at the bottom of cabinet-type ovens. Its construction features a helically wound resistance coil housed in a specially designed ceramic insulator, with the resistance coil securely connected to a screw terminal. The heater assembly is encased in stainless steel rectangular tubing, while all voids are filled with high purity magnesium oxide to enhance thermal conductivity and dielectric strength. Nickel-plated steel fins are affixed to the rectangular tubing, engineered to maximize surface contact for effective heat dissipation into the finned cross sections, facilitating rapid heat transfer to the surrounding air.
