The Tempco finned strip heater is engineered for both forced (mounted in a duct) and natural convection air heating (mounted at the bottom of cabinet type ovens). Its design includes a helically wound resistance coil situated in a specially designed ceramic insulator, with the resistance coil mechanically connected to a screw terminal for a secure connection. The heater assembly is housed in stainless steel rectangular tubing, and all remaining voids are filled with high purity magnesium oxide to enhance thermal conductivity and dielectric strength. Nickel plated steel fins are affixed to the rectangular tubing, designed to provide maximum surface contact for efficient heat dissipation into the finned cross sections, facilitating rapid heat transfer to the air.
