The Tempco finned strip heater is designed for both forced and natural convection air heating, suitable for installations in duct systems or mounted at the bottom of cabinet-type ovens. Its fundamental design features a helically wound resistance coil positioned within a specially designed ceramic insulator. This resistance coil is securely connected to a screw terminal to ensure a reliable electrical connection. The heater assembly is housed in stainless steel rectangular tubing, with all voids filled with high purity magnesium oxide to enhance thermal conductivity and dielectric strength. Additionally, nickel plated steel fins are strategically mounted to the rectangular tubing, engineered to maximize surface contact for effective heat dissipation into the finned cross sections, thereby facilitating rapid heat transfer to the surrounding air. The kit includes the finned strip heater and all necessary installation components.
