The Tempco finned strip heater is designed for both forced (mounted in a duct) and natural convection air heating (mounted at the bottom of cabinet type ovens). It features a helically wound resistance coil placed in a specially designed ceramic insulator, which is mechanically connected to a screw terminal for a positive connection. The heater assembly is housed in stainless steel rectangular tubing, with all remaining voids filled with high purity magnesium oxide to enhance thermal conductivity and dielectric strength. Additionally, nickel plated steel fins are mounted to the rectangular tubing, providing maximum surface contact for effective heat dissipation into the finned cross sections, resulting in rapid heat transfer to the air.
