This screw plug immersion heater consists of a tubular element welded or brazed into a threaded screw plug that can be inserted into a threaded opening in a tank wall or through a mating full or half coupling. It features a brass screw plug with a copper sheath and is suitable for process water, water with very weak chemical solutions, demineralized, deionized or pure water, as well as hot water storage for washrooms, showers, cleaning and rinsing parts, and for freeze protection of cooling towers and sprinkler systems among other aqueous solutions that are not corrosive to copper. This unit can handle temperatures up to 350 degrees F.
