The Baldor-Realiance motor is a 2HP, 1750RPM, DC motor with a 184C frame and a 3646D design, featuring a Totally Enclosed Fan Cooled (TEFC) enclosure, shunt wound configuration, and Class F insulation. This motor is specifically designed for use with NEMA Type K SCR control, providing a 20:1 constant torque speed range (with exceptions noted). It includes a NEMA C-face and a removable base, except for explosion proof models, and features a base welded on Type 3513D only. Additionally, NEMA 182 and larger models are equipped with a thermostat (normally closed contacts) on the field winding, while the 35D, 75D, and 91D types do not include dual mounting base holes. Typical applications for this motor include conveyors, printing machinery, textile equipment, machine tools, and other equipment that requires variable speeds with constant torque.
