The Baldor-Reliance motor is a 1HP, 1750 RPM, DC motor with a 184C frame and model number 3623D, featuring a totally enclosed fan-cooled (TEFC) enclosure and shunt wound design. It has Class F insulation and is engineered for use with NEMA type K SCR control, providing a 20:1 constant torque speed range (except where noted). The motor includes a NEMA C-face and removable base, although this is not applicable to explosion-proof models, and the base is welded on type 3513D only. NEMA 182 and larger models are equipped with a thermostat featuring normally closed contacts on the field winding, while there are no dual mounting base holes on 35D, 75D, or 91D types. This motor is ideal for typical applications such as conveyors, printing, textile equipment, and machine tools, or other equipment that requires variable speeds with constant torque.
